Revenue intelligence

Your CRM contains the plan. The evidence behind that plan lives in customer conversations, billing, support, enrichment, and product usage. Revenue Intelligence brings those sources into the same review so your team can decide what the forecast supports and where it needs attention.

Start with the forecast

Ask for an evidence review of the Commit forecast. For each important opportunity, SixDegree checks the claims that matter to the team’s call:

  • Is the economic buyer engaged?
  • Is the champion still active and responsive?
  • Does the expected close date have recent support?
  • Does account activity point to a renewal or expansion risk?

Each claim is marked as supported, contradicted, stale, or not yet knowable. The result identifies the relevant records and the source systems used, so the review starts with evidence rather than a summary someone has to take on faith.

Focus on the deals that need a decision

Revenue Intelligence creates a finding when the evidence materially changes the conversation. A finding names the affected revenue, explains what changed, and gives the owner a next step.

Common examples include:

  • A Commit opportunity with no recent buyer engagement
  • A champion who has left an account
  • A renewal with an open escalation or scheduled cancellation
  • Product usage that suggests expansion with no related opportunity
  • A deal that has slipped its close date without new evidence

Findings are designed for change, not repetition. If the same condition remains true tomorrow, the team sees the existing finding instead of a new alert.

Read the Truth Gap

The Truth Gap compares the management position in the forecast with the position supported by available evidence. It separates the portfolio into clear categories:

CategoryWhat it means
SupportedThe evidence supports the forecast position.
Unsupported optimismThe forecast is stronger than the available evidence.
Supported upsideThe evidence supports a stronger position than the forecast.
Not yet knowableImportant evidence is missing or cannot be reached.
Management overrideA leader made a different call and recorded the reason.

The point is not to replace management judgment with a score. It is to make the difference between judgment and evidence visible, deal by deal and in the total.

Run a practical cadence

Use the same sequence in each forecast or revenue review:

  1. Review the Truth Gap for the portfolio.
  2. Open the largest unsupported or uncertain deals.
  3. Read the evidence behind each finding.
  4. Decide the next action, owner, and date.
  5. Record any management override with its reason.
  6. Revisit the same deals in the next review to see what changed.

This keeps the discussion on the decisions that move revenue, rather than on rebuilding a cross-system view by hand.

Connect the evidence you need

Start with the CRM your team already uses. Add conversation intelligence, billing, support, enrichment, and product-usage sources when they are relevant to the review. Missing sources remain visible as coverage gaps. They are never treated as negative evidence.
